    Project / Sales Management

    Primary Function:
    Overall responsibility for execution of major fabrication projects.  Oversee project execution, lead and manage team of Project Managers responsible for the daily management of projects.  Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer quality requirements including ASME NQA-1 standards.  Ability to navigate changing scopes, budgets, and schedules while maintaining excellent customer relations and negotiation skills.      

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work with the Chief Operating Officer and Business Unit Managers to provide oversight and management for large scale projects and/or portfolios of projects.
    • Assume overall responsibility for the successful execution of major projects.
    • Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Project Managers responsible for day-to-day project management activities.
    • Review, understand, and becomes an expert in the contract documents of assigned projects including drawings, specifications, commercial terms, etc.
    • Work with Project Managers and coordinate with internal departments and subcontractors to ensure project scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements of highly complex projects are understood, followed, and completed.
    • Manage changes in project scope, budget, and schedule effectively using a hands-on approach or at the directive level.
    • Provide guidance and support to Project Managers in addressing change requests and requests for equitable adjustments where appropriate.
    • Lead negotiations for major contracts, change orders, and other project related agreements with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    • Resolve high-level disputes and conflicts through effective negotiation and communication.
    • Maintain senior level relationships with customers with an understanding of their strategic needs and expectations.
    • Communicate progress to the customer, internal stakeholders, and management.
    • Assist with preparing proposals, preliminary schedules, and final schedules.
    • Review project proposals, establish, execute, and monitor project plans for the whole project and for each execution phase, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
    • Identify and target select markets for business development initiatives.
    • Nurture relationships with potential customers, understanding their needs and fostering opportunities for future work.
    • Drive growth by expanding the company’s customer base in strategic markets.

    Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
    Minimum Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B. S.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    5+ years of experience in the areas of fabrication/construction, DOE/DOD, or commercial nuclear is preferred.

    Preferred experience includes management of projects under an ASME NQA-1 quality assurance program.

    Proficient with computer software including Microsoft Suite.  Ability to become proficient with other software is mandatory.

    Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Must be able to understand and manage budgets. Must be able to direct and lead a team for project success.

    Senior level negotiating skills preferred.

    Project / Sales Management

    Primary Function:
    Ability to manage one or more projects that require strict adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality requirements, including ASME NQA-1 or other similar quality programs. The project manager has overall responsibility for the assigned projects, including the initial start-up, schedule, budget management, planning, execution, and required documentation. The project manager ensures compliance with all aspects of the contract (e.g. purchase order, drawings, specifications, statement of work, technical requirements, customer flow-downs, documentation, etc.). This individual will work with various resources within the company to accomplish the objectives of the project.

    Our company primarily manufactures goods out of different types of steel. We perform fabrication, testing, and assembly for items such as gloveboxes, hotcells, pressure vessels, shielded containers, and other equipment for various DOE facilities. Project management experience directly related to this type of work is required.

    Experience, Skills, and Responsibilities:

    • Management/Leadership experience.
    • Experience managing budgets and tracking project performance.
    • Experience working to a quality assurance program.
    • Self-initiative and problem solving with minimal oversight.
    • Exhibit ownership and pride in all assignments.

    • Develop and status schedules on a consistent basis.

    • Read and interpret drawings/blueprints.
    • Previous project management experience involving fabrication. Glovebox fabrication experience is preferred.
    • Capture and manage commercial impacts throughout the life cycle of projects. This may include generating estimates and proposals for the customer based on input from internal resources.
    • Continuously monitor project progress and work with internal resources to ensure that budgets and schedules are met.
    • Prepare internal bi-weekly financial reports and profit projections for all active projects.
    • Communicate progress to the customer, management, and internal stakeholders.
    • May play a role in project planning and estimating in the bid and proposal phase.
    • Other responsibilities will be assigned as required.

    Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. Set up, operate, or tend welding, machines or robots that weld metal products, components, or assemblies. Fabricate, position, align, and fit parts of pipe, plates, and structural metal products. Install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings.

    • Perform millwright work with some degree of proficiency.

    Primary Function:
    This is a weekend shift, Friday-Sunday, 6:00 am 6:30 pm. Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
    • Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
    • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
    • Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
    • Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
    • Develops specifications from general description and draws sketch of part or product to be fabricated.
    • Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
    • Plans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing numerical control machining centers to cut, shape, or form metal work pieces to specifications.
    • Interprets complicated drawings, program sheets, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be done.
    • Performs a variety of milling, drilling, boring, or related operations to close and interrelated tolerances.
    • Performs a variety of inspection and gauging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications.
    • Performs machine maintenance.
    • Other duties may be assigned.
    • MasterCam experience a plus.
    • Ability to program machines at the machine a plus.
    • Must understand G -Code
    • Ability to read, interpret and understand Blueprints.

    Primary Function
    The Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician Lead is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role involves leading a team of technicians, coordinating maintenance schedules, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and implementing preventative maintenance programs. The lead technician acts as a liaison between maintenance staff, production teams, and management, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with safety and quality standards.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Supervise Maintenance Team: Lead, direct, and manage a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring efficient and effective performance of maintenance activities. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards of work and safety are maintained.
    • Preventive Maintenance Management: Oversee the development and execution of preventive maintenance schedules for equipment, machinery, and building systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functioning.
    • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Lead troubleshooting of routine and predictive maintenance as outlined in manufacturer recommendations for various tools and equipment. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, CNC equipment, cranes and hoists, small gas engines, electrical circuitry, various forms of hydraulics, and mechanical functions to ensuring prompt resolution of issues to minimize production or operational downtime.
    • Must possess low and high voltage electrical safety knowledge and safe work practices including LOTO, DMM usage to troubleshoot low and high voltage circuits safely.
    • Equipment Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols. Remove from service non-functioning equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, adjust tools/equipment and return to service.
    • Work Orders and Documentation: Manage and prioritize work orders, ensuring timely completion of tasks. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and service history for accountability and future reference.
    • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring that necessary parts and equipment are available to complete repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
    • Safety Compliance: Ensure that maintenance work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team and throughout the organization.
    • Budget and Cost Management: Monitor and control maintenance budgets, identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality. Assist in forecasting future maintenance needs and equipment replacements.
    • Training and Development: Provide training for new and existing team members on best practices, safety protocols, equipment handling, and troubleshooting techniques. Foster an environment of continuous improvement and skill development.
    • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments (e.g., production, facilities, engineering) to understand maintenance needs, address concerns, and contribute to improving operational efficiency.
    • Emergency Response: Be available for emergency maintenance and repair situations outside of normal working hours to ensure the continuity of operations.
    • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes, equipment, and systems. Lead efforts to implement best practices, new technologies, and innovative solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency.

This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and sustainment of our testing and training facilities including industrial equipment, building systems, and control systems. This position requires a candidate with a strong background in industrial components, industrial control systems, building facilities and is open to cross-training in other areas. Training may be provided for qualified candidates to develop skills on non-ICS systems.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Industrial Equipment Sustainment:
      • Perform regular inspections on industrial components such as pumps, valves, motors, and instrumentation.
      • Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment as needed to ensure uninterrupted testing processes.
    • Industrial Control Systems:
      • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Industrial Control Systems (ICS), including PLCs, SCADA systems, and DCS.
      • Perform routine diagnostics, updates, and ensure systems are running efficiently.
      • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
      • Implement system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
    • Vehicle Maintenance:
