Primary Function:
Work with Business Unit Manager – Food Division to independently manage all scale of projects. Responsible for RFQ reviews, preparation of proposals, reviewing estimates and managing the scope, schedule, and budget for all phases of projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical baseline of assigned project.
• Reviews all projects bid proposals, prior to issue, as assigned.
• Reviews Purchase Order and accompanying documentation prior to, and at award of a contract for accuracy/completeness and differences from original bid documents.
• Conduct a formal contract review with appropriate Department Managers.
• Develop detailed resource loaded baseline schedules.
• Develop detailed budgets.
• Conduct periodic project team meetings.
• Primary point of contact with the client/customer.
• Prepare and submit project submittals to the customer for approval.
• Maintain accurate project schedules.
• Maintain accurate project Estimates-at Completion.
• Develop Purchase Requisitions/review purchase orders.
• Conduct project closeout activities
• Conduct a Job Closure meeting to identify/document lessons learned.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred experience includes time managing projects in a manufacturing/fabrication/repair environment, both in the field and shop.

Proficient with computer software including Microsoft Suite. Ability to become proficient with other software is mandatory.

Must be able to travel and work extended hours, as needed.

Primary Function:
Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. Set up, operate, or tend welding, machines or robots that weld metal products, components, or assemblies. Fabricate, position, align, and fit parts of pipe, plates, and structural metal products. Install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Dismantle machines/processes, structural components, or mechanical mechanism at customer facilities.
• Perform millwright work with some degree of proficiency.
• Capable of performing pipe fitting and welding projects.
• Proficient in welding the following: SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, Overlaying
• Basic understanding of weld quality control, welding code standards and specifications, and non-destructive examination.
• Basic understanding of Radiography (x-ray testing of welds),
• Lay-out and fabricate stairs and handrails.
• Fabricate, repair, and maintain sheet metal items.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Craft III

Experience reading blueprints.
Must be willing to travel occasionally
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Must be able to pass weld tests in accordance with AWS and ASME codes.

Primary Function:
This is a weekend shift, Friday-Sunday, 6:00 am 6:30 pm. Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
• Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
• Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
• Develops specifications from general description and draws sketch of part or product to be fabricated.
• Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
• Plans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing numerical control machining centers to cut, shape, or form metal work pieces to specifications.
• Interprets complicated drawings, program sheets, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be done.
• Performs a variety of milling, drilling, boring, or related operations to close and interrelated tolerances.
• Performs a variety of inspection and gauging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications.
• Performs machine maintenance.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• MasterCam experience a plus.
• Ability to program machines at the machine a plus.
• Must understand G -Code
• Ability to read, interpret and understand Blueprints.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Apprentice:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Machinist I:
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school

Machinist II:
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two (2) to six (6) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Machinist III:
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and five (5) to ten (10) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Primary Function:
Tend to fabricating machines such as band saws, shears, rolls, brakes, lasers, water jet, plasma, and forming machines used to that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Be able to assist, or learn to, operate various manual and CNC machines in the Material Prep Department, such as: Band Saws, Press Brake, Plate Rolls, Water Jet, Plasma Table and Laser.

Machine Operator I:

• Be able to assist, or learn to, operate assorted hand tools, including grinders, bevellers, and precision measuring tools.
• Have some amount, or begin to develop, a working knowledge of drawings, sketches, specifications and be able to produce work that meet those specifications.
• Must be able to become forklift certified, able to understand and use appropriate rigging techniques and trained in bridge crane operation.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds using correct lifting techniques, have good manual dexterity, vision and hearing.
• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
• Positions work piece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
• Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine.
• Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
• Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
• Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece.
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Machine Operator II:

• Assist or operate various CNCmachines in the Material Prep Department, such as, Band Saws, Press Brake, Plate Rolls, Water Jet, Plasma Table and Laser. Also, operates assorted hand tools, including grinders, bevellers, and precision measuring tools.
• Has a working knowledge of drawings, sketches, specifications, and other means to produce quality parts.
• Needs to work with a high degree of safety in a team player atmosphere with little supervision.
• Must also operate forklifts, be able to lift up to 50 pounds using correct lifting techniques, have good manual dexterity, vision and hearing.

Primary Function:
Provide support and assistance for the Welding and Manufacturing Engineering team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Welding Engineer to:
  • Evaluate and test new fabrication processes and technologies.
  • Develop new or modify current welding methods and procedures.
  • Verify weld machines are functioning and calibrated properly.
  • Ensure welding documents meet customer requirements, applicable codes and are being followed on the shop floor. (WPS/PQR/WPQ)
  • Teach welding and/or technical classes for internal cross training.
  • Evaluate upcoming projects to determine the best method of manufacturing.
  • Set up craft applicants for hire with welding test.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineer to:
  • Support for production automation.
  • Manage 3d printers and router.
  • Assist with robot programming.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Perusing bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering Technology or Manufacturing Engineering Technology.

Proficient with computer software including Microsoft Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Robot Programming experience
• SOLIDWORKS experience
• Bluco/Modular weld tooling experience
• Print reading & GD&T skills
• Welding ability (GMAW, GTAW, FCAW)
• Knowledge of welding codes AWS D1.1, D1.6, D1.9 and ASME Section IX
• Knowledge of PQR, WPS, WPQ
• Proficient organizational, analytical and communication skills
• Goal oriented
• Strong ability to independently assess and initiate work in line with established goals.
